Will the item I get look like the one in the photos?


Each bag is handwoven and one-of-a-kind. This makes pretty challenging to take professional photos of every bag in our inventory. When you order a bag from our limited edition collections or from our silver collection your bag will look like the one in the product photos. 


When you shop the Classic and White collections we will send you a bag of the model you choose and with at least one of the 6-8 colors matching the color you selected. 



What if I don't fall in love with the colors or weave pattern?


We want you to absolutely love your new bag and we know that every person has different tastes. If you don't love it just let us know and we'll help you exchange it. We can even send you photos from similar items in our inventory to let you pick something that matches closest to what you love.



How much does shipping cost?


We offer free shipping within the Continental United States for all orders over $45. For orders under $45 we charge a flat $5 for shipping. Shipping costs for orders outside of that scope may vary depending upon the rates offered by our shipping carriers and any promotions. 



How do you help mothers?

We believe in a hand up not a hand out. We find entrepreneurial moms who have great skills and pay them a fair price per item we buy. Our goal is for each of our mothers to have enough to earn a sustainable living while working part time creating amazing products for Mother Erth. 


Additionally, each bag sold through our ambassador program supports one day in preschool for kids of our moms who need it most.



How do you help the earth?

Our commitment to the earth runs through everything we do. The plastic that we rescue from being sent to the landfill is just the beginning. We only use recycled materials for our logos and marketing materials. Our products are sent out in 100% recycled mailers that you can recycle and compost.

Are your products durable?


Yes. We use plastic packaging that is almost indestructible (why do you think it's so bad for the environment?) and our mothers are masters in creating a strong, tight weave with reinforced hems. 


Our favorite stress test is using our tote for runs to the library with the kids. We pack them full of books every week for years and it still looks as good as new. We've also done various experiments to test the strength. Stay tuned for them by following us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.



Will the weave come apart?


No way Josephine. If your weave starts coming apart after regular and reasonable use any time in the next 10 years. Let us know and we will send you a new one (or a similar item if the one you bought is no longer in stock) for free. 

Shipping and Returns

Want to return something?

If you bought your new bag or accessory directly from mothererth.com and don't fall in love with it for any reason, we are more than happy to exchange it for any other model or weave style of the same price. 


And what if you changed your mind and would like your money back? No worries. Return the item to us unused and unaltered within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund the full amount no questions asked. Just keep in mind the time it takes for the package to get back to us in San Diego, California for USA orders or Toronto, Ontario for Canada orders.

How to send it back

To return your product, first send an email to support@mothererth.com with your order number and request. After confirmation from us, you can send the product to the address we provide. Make sure to add the paperwork that was shipped along with the order for our reference. You will be responsible for the shipping costs for returning your item. The initial shipping costs will be refunded.


Trackable shipping

Please consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing a shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Items lost in transportation will not be refunded.


Didn't get your bag?

In case the carrier does not succeed in delivering the item to you because you weren't at home, please try reaching the carrier via email and/or telephone. If the carrier eventually ships the item back to us, and you still want to get the sunglasses, you'll have to pay for the shipping costs. Otherwise we'll refund the full amount without the original shipment costs.
